My 25 years old Tiffany’s necklace & earrings 💖

Hello🌻

I don’t own too many jewelleries (actually things in general).

I admire women wearing fun (cheap & cheerful) accessories stylishly. I have bought some before, but I end up wearing them just several times & that’s it. So I have stopped buying them.

Maybe women around my age look better with bigger accessories, but I find them too heavy & uncomfortable 💦

So I like small & simple ones.

My father bought me these earrings & necklace from Tiffany when I first started working after University. I have had them for over 25 years.

They got lost at one point, but appeared again!! I do love them so much.

Something about the heart shape gives me the spark 💫 feeling.

My dad is 80 this year! How the time flies…

Thank you dad, I wear them almost everyday💕

The best handbag colour is white 😀

Hello🌻

The bags take up too much space in a closet, so I don’t like to own too many.

Also I’m too lazy to change my bags to match the outfit. Whether you are a working mother or a full time mother, the women around the age 50 are all extremely busy. Too busy to change the handbags often💦

I love my white handbag from Banana Republic!! This is literally the only bag that I used this winter.

In fact, I bought this bag in the summer, and have been using it since then due to my laziness 😉

When I saw my friend in October, she commented “That bag looks lovely! It looks really fashionable to have a light coloured bag in winter”

So I decided to keep on using this bag – very simple mind I have.

This bag actually gets more compliments in winter thanks to my laziness.

For example, an outfit like this…

Looks much nicer with this white bag. It brightens up the whole look ☀️

One bag for both winter and summer – I love it💖

I think I’ll continue using it into the spring & maybe summer too.

Simplicity…my best Zen bag ever💫

Spring colour jumper from Uniqlo

Hello🌻

Such a lovely warm day in London☀️

I was thinking of what to wear in the spring and found this lovely spring colour jumper from Uniqlo!

I don’t often wear green, but I fell in love with this colour💕

Uniqlo UK site

Nice spring look wearing with a pair of damaged jeans.

Gives a slightly sharper look with this cross body bag.

Very simple casual outfit very useful for a full time mother like me😉

I try not to buy too many clothes (& things in general). I normally buy 2-3 reasonably priced tops in one season and wear them a lot (& I mean A LOT‼️)

This was the first buy of this spring season💫

Learning to play bridge from scratch Lesson 2

Hello🌻

I went to the 2nd lesson of the Beginners Bridge Class in London.

First lesson was pretty much about playing the game ‘Whist’ to get used to the cards.

For the 2nd lesson, we learnt about the Opening Bid♠️

Since the teacher hasn’t introduced the concept of the Trump suit, all the bids are NT (no-trump) at the moment.

Today, we focused on

  1. How to count HCPs (high card points)
  2. Deciding whether your cards are BALANCED or UNBALANCED
  3. How to respond with a balanced card (opening bid 1NT) & communicate with your partner.

I found the communication between partners great fun!! It takes a bit of time to get used to counting your HCP to decide whether to respond as “Pass”, “2NT” or “3NT” (the partner’s opening bid was 1NT).

At one point, my partner and I agreed on 2NT, and we managed to get 9 tricks✨

So much fun. Highly highly recommended!!

Very casual outfit for a walk in the park☀️

Hello 🌻

It was such a beautiful day today, so I went for a quick coffee & a walk in the park with my girlfriend.

Very very casual & comfortable outfit for a lazy day like this.

The sweater is from Banana Republic. I think this is supposed to be worn as off the shoulder, but that is a bit too cold for me. I wear it like this, and hide some wrinkles around the neck area 😉

Jeans are from the Gap. Curvy Skinny Jeans – so comfortable & make my legs look slim. I love them💕

Today was warm (for London winter), so I wore a light down jacket from Max Mara which I can’t even remember when I bought (at least 5 years ago).

Cross body bag is perfect for a walk.

Can’t wait for the spring to come💫

Last season’s Zara skirt that I still love❤️

Hello🌻

It was a nice warm day, so I went out wearing a skirt.

This is from Zara last season collection.

The check pattern was in fashion last season. I wore it soooo much thinking that this would be good just for one season. To my surprise, I still enjoy wearing it!!

I get many compliments that give me 💫feeling. Such a lucky item for me.

I’m not sure whether wearing a check pattern is out of fashion this year, but I don’t worry too much about things like that. I just wear clothes that I love and lift my mood up✨

This skirt looks fabulous with a pair of black heels, but going on a tube, walking around the town etc…. I can’t wear them.

Knee high boots with low heels are the best. So comfortable to walk around.

It looks lovely with a black leather jacket too.

A white bag gives a bit of a spring feel 🌸

This white bag is my favourite (& only) bag this winter. I’ve been using it since last summer due to my laziness, but light coloured bag looks great in winter.

Happy marriage ❤️ is empathy the key??

Hello🌻

I just finished reading a brilliant Japanese book called “The manual for dealing with your wife” It is written by a Japanese female artificial intelligence researcher. She writes how a husband can deal with his wife based on her scientific studies. Very interesting.

One thing she talks about is ’empathy’. Men tend to offer a solution or an advice when women tell him her problem. Instead, he should just emphasize with her because she is not looking for a solution. It is just plain annoying if he tries to give an advice, and she will just get angry.

This book is so right!! I love talking to my girlfriends because they always emphasize with me✨

If I say “I bought a nice skirt from Zara yesterday”, my girlfriend will say “Oh nice! What is it like? I love Zara too. They have such lovely clothes”

If I say “My husband did this & that…. he is so annoying”, my girlfriend will say “oh, I know I know, mine is exactly the same. So annoying when he does that!!”

So much empathy💕 Don’t we just love it??

After giving birth to a baby, a woman can go through really tough time. Yes, we need a lot of empathy then especially since it is not easy to meet up with girlfriends when you have a small baby. Who can empathize with you if you can’t see your girlfriends….I guess your husband.

My husband used to try giving me an advice whenever I complained about something. When my daughter was very small (maybe 1 or 2 months old), I shouted at him “Stop giving me an advice! I just need you to listen to me. What I need is empathy, not your stupid advice”

He got the point then.

Later he told me that he was trying to help by coming up with a solution. I guess that is how men’s mind work.

Now my children are teenagers, I can meet my girlfriends easily and bitch about things, so I don’t need my husband to emphasize with me all the time.

After all, women love empathy and we have been doing it all our lives, so we are pro at it. It is much nicer to have my girlfriends emphasize with me than my husband pretending that he understands. So that is ok. We all become more realistic and that’s how we manage to keep our marriage going😉

But then, if you are going to been a dad soon, make sure that you emphasize with your wife especially after giving birth. She really needs that. If you don’t, she will hold grudges for a very very long time😕However, if you give a lot of empathy then, she will remember that for a very very long time too😘

If your wife doesn’t have many girlfriends she can bitch with, then I guess you will need to take up a role as an emphasizer (is there such a word? anyway…)

If your wife has a lot of girlfriends she can bitch with, you are lucky. You just need to emphasize here & there and give her a nice hug ( & a nice present alongside it 🎁) She will love you for that.

Marriage is a mystery. What is the trick to keep it going….. I really don’t know….

A pretty red dress that make you look slim ❤️ for Valentine’s date❤️

Hello🌻

Sheln is my recent found. I love this website!! Their clothes are so fashionable but reasonable.

Click here to go to Sheln UK site

I bought this dress to see what their products were like. Yes, it is a great dress!

What I love about this dress.

  1. A very nich shade of read (Burgundy). The colour lifts my mood up✨
  2. The belt has a slimming effect. You can tie this either at the front or at the back. They both look nice and give different looks.
  3. Just above the knee length looks great with long boots. The slits on the sides make it fun too!
  4. Not too open around the neck. This fits my Asian figure (i.e. small chest😉)
  5. Very kind to my wallet. It was only £14.99 😀

If I wear it with a cross body bag, it looks more casual. With a clutch bag, a bit more formal. With a pair of black heels, even more dressy.

The red dress – perfect for the Valentine’s date night💫

Learning to play Bridge in a fun way!! 1st Lesson♠️

Hello🌻

I decided to learn how to play Bridge with my friends, and we started attending a weekly beginners class.

I have always loved playing card games❤️ When I told my children that I might want to start playing poker or something, they freaked out.

They said “Just play Bridge! I don’t want you to become a gambler and blow all the money!!”

I took their advice & started learning Bridge. I’m so glad I did because I’m having a lot of fun attending the class✨

I was lucky to get such a great teacher. He is patient, fun and explains the rule in a very simple way.

For the first lesson, we pretty much played ‘Whist’, so that we can get used to the cards, suit & strength of the number (i.e. Ace is the strongest & 2 is the weakest). He didn’t introduce the concept of Trumps either. He kept the game simple, so we could all have fun playing!

So if you want to learn how to play Bridge, start off by playing Whist. It is a much simpler game and is a great way to get used to the cards.
